High Point Traffic Accident Leads to Unfortunate Death

In High Point Monday, a veteran firefighter, and friend to many, was the unfortunate victim of a Felony Hit and Run on Sunday. The firefighter was President of the High Point Firefighters Association, a father of four, an organ donor, and he also worked part-time for Guilford County EMS.

The Crime occurred as the Firefighter was cycling and another vehicle collided with his bike and drove off. This was initially only a Felony Hit and Run along with a couple of other Traffic Tickets. The firefighter was transported to Moses Cone where he was sadly pronounced dead.

The State Highway Patrol has investigated this Car Accident and made an Arrest in the case. Initially charged with Felony Hit and Run, more charges are currently being pursued, most importantly murder.

The High Point Fire Department is currently in a grieving process and our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.
