Martha has been practicing family law since 2003. She has experience in a breadth of domestic law, including child custody, property distribution, alimony, annulment, termination of parental rights, complex equitable distribution and interstate custody. She received her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a recipient of the prestigious Gressman-Pollitt Award for Outstanding Appellate Advocacy. Prior to that, she obtained a Master of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Mass Communications. She also earned Bachelor’s degrees from Guilford College in English and Psychology, where she graduated with honors and was a Dana Scholar. Martha is a Barrister with the Guilford County Inn of Court, a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the American Bar Association Family Law Sections, a member of the Triad Collaborative Family Law Practice, and is admitted as a Counsellor to the Supreme Court of the United States. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding, oil painting, and spending time with her family.
