A 17 year old driver hit and struck a Burlington, NC man on Friday. The man was pinned to a tree. The suspect and another individual fled the scene on foot.
The victim was airlifted to UNC-Chapel Hill, where he is listed in critical condition.
The name of the vehicle’s registered owner led the officers to the driver, a 17 year old girl from Green Level, NC. She was charged with felony hit & run, no operators license and failure to stop at a stop sign.
She is jail under a $5,000.00 secured bond.
