Charlotte Judge Allows Same-Sex Marriage in North Carolina

Same-sex couples may now be issued marriage licenses in North Carolina, after a Federal Judge in Charlotte struck down the North Carolina ban on same-sex couples marriages.  The Judge was following a ruling from the Federal Fourth Circuit, after the United States Supreme Court denied cert to review the case.

Greensboro marriage licenses were issued and many same-sex couples were married in Guilford County immediately.
