Friday’s football game between Smith and Dudley high schools turned series after a teenager was arrested after a Smith coach reported seeing him point a handgun.
Police made a traffic stop of the suspect’s car while still on Smith High property.
The student, 16 years of age, who attends Dudley High, was charged with misdemeanor possession of a handgun by a minor and carrying a concealed weapon as well as felony charges of having a weapon on educational property and possession with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver marijuana.
