The short version

Citizens interested in being on the Greensboro Police Citizens Review board can apply now.

Anyone interested in applying should send an email to City Clerk Betsey Richardson at betsey.richardson@greensboro-nc.gov or call at (336) 373-2397.

The committee reviews the Greensboro police department’s investigations of complaints. If the committee disagrees, they can ask the complaint to be re-reviewed.

The next step is an appeal to the city manager.

46 complaints were filed in 2013,  a lower number than 2012’s 87 complaints and 2011’s 69.
