Child Custody

Children are always the hardest part of a divorce. They cannot be divided like property and have wants and needs just like their parents. The best way to take care of child custody is through a custody agreement. In that case the parents sit down and hammer out an agreement. The goal of any court is to create a living situation which is in the best interest of the children. Generally, the parents know what is in the best interest of their children better than the court does. This is why we shoot for an agreement between the parents first. If that does not work, then we take it to court, maybe try out some court ordered mediation, but at the end of the day the judge in that court room gets to decide what is in the best interest of the children.
