Greensboro Personal Injury Lawyer gives update on Inmates Trying to Catch COVID-19

In Personal Injury by Greensboro Attorney

Our Greensboro personal injury lawyer received an interesting update from a United States prison. Apparently, inmates were hoping to acquire the coronavirus through drinking from the same cup of water.

Local law enforcement showed the inmates crowded around the same cup of water drinking from the same cup hoping to get infected. They also were passing around a mask they believed to be infected and sniffing it with the hope of testing positive for COVID according to our personal injury attorney.

A trustee found the stash of items and the trustees was attacked at the jail for removing the items. As of Monday, 222 inmates have tested positive for COVID and 107 employees have also test positive. Our personal injury lawyer has advised that 4,590 inmates have been quarantined.

At Garrett, Walker, Aycoth & Olson, we understand the difficulties of the COVID-19 situation on all of our places of business, including North Carolina prisons. We just want everyone to practice their due diligence and to stay safe during this time.
