The driver of 2013 Dodge Motor Vehicle was involved in a Car Accident when he rear-ended a Toyota. According to the officer, when police arrived on the scene, the Driver of the Dodge appeared to be sleeping inside the vehicle. After repeated knocks the driver eventually came to and rolled the window down. The officer saw a green leafy substance (some would say weed-like) on the dashboard and based on his experience he determined it was Marijuana. There was also a prescription pill bottle in the car which also contained Marijuana. The officer found a pipe which was Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and the pill bottle contained Xanax pills. The driver was also in possession of $8,000 in Cash which was not Seized since it was not connected with known illicit activity. The driver of the Toyota, which had a rear end collision stated they were fine and suffered no Personal Injuries but that their hairpiece was broken as a result of the accident. The Driver of the Dodge performed extremely poor on Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and then he took a urine test which will take two weeks for results. The Driver of the Dodge is charged with DWI/DUI, Following Too Close, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
