The Court of Appeals decided November 4th, 2014 a case regarding continuance motions. State v. Blow, ____ N.C. App. ____ (Nov. 4, 2014). The court upheld the trial court’s denial of defense motion to continue based on learning of potential defense witness on the eve of trial. the trial court justified the denial based on the fact the defense should have known about the based on previous information.
