7 Items To For Your Car-Greensboro Car Accident

Being in an auto accident is terrifying. You never expect a crash to happen so it’s smart to be prepared prior to an accident occurring. We put together a list of seven items that you should always keep in your car. This way if you do find yourself involved in a Greensboro Car Accident, you can be prepared. These items may be helpful if you’ve been involved in an auto accident, or, they may just be good to have in case of an emergency.

First Aid Kit

This should be obvious, but we suggest always keeping a 1st aid kit in the car. Keeping it underneath the passenger seat allows for easy access, and this way you won’t have to dig through your trunk or anything to find it. Make sure your 1st aid kit is stocked with Band-Aids, Aspirin, antiseptic wipes or ointment, sterile gauze pads, scissors, non-latex gloves, tweezers, and a cold compress, a flashlight, and adhesive cloth tape. Of course you can always put more in the 1st aid kit, depending on what you think you could use.

Space Blanket / Blanket

Even if you don’t live in a particularly cold area, you should always keep a blanky in your car. Whether you decide to keep a regular blanket or a space blanket, these will help keep you warm in the event that you’re stuck in the cold. You can find plenty on Amazon .com and they are relatively inexpensive.

Food and Water

If you have trouble while you’re in the auto, you may be in a spot where there is no phone service to call for help. It’s possible that you could spend time waiting for someone to reach you, in which case you would need food and water. Keep a lot of bottled of water in your trunk for emergency, and non-perishable food like crackers, dried fruit, nuts etc. These items stay good for a long while so you won’t need to replace them, periodically.

Cables

Whether your car won’t start or someone else’s, it’s a great idea to keep cables in your car. You can save yourself, or someone else, a lot of trouble by jumping the car in need. Of course, make sure there are not children near the cables, as they can be dangerous if used improperly. Always follow the ruleswhen jumping a car, to ensure safety.

Flares/Emergency Lights

Having car trouble or an accident in the dark makes it difficult because it’s harder to see. You want to make sure that other folks and vehicles on the lane are able to easily avoid you – and another accident. Keep either road flares or lights in your car that you can  place near your vehicle to avoid another accident.

Spare Tires

While this is an expensive thing, we would suggest keeping a spare tire in your car at always, if it does not already come with a spare tire. Tires are crazy, even if the pressure is good because they can pop or lose air without notice. You don’t want to get stuck, waiting for someone to come help. First, make sure your car has a spare tire or buy a spare. Then, you need to make sure you know how to make change to a tire. You can learn how to it a tire in less than seven minutes, and avoid a Greensboro Car Accident.

Duct Tape

Duct Tape (not “Duck Tape”, lol) can be an amazing, temporary fix for many issues you may have with your car. Perhaps, pieces of your car become unattached, but you aren’t quite at the repair shop, yet. You can use tape, in many cases  to temporarily repair these issues when you’re on the way to get them repaired.

Making sure your car is ready for anything doesn’t take long, and many of the things on this list will not cost you too much. We suggest keeping these things in your car to better prep you for unexpected things.
