Greensboro Criminal Defense Attorney: Play it Safe for Halloween

Greensboro Criminal Lawyer Gives Tips on Halloween.

‘Tis the season for ghosts and ghouls, for kids in the streets and parties with “adult” treats.

It’s a good idea to keep these things in mind for the holiday:

  • If you are taking children trick or treating, make sure that they have something reflective on, and/or you have a flash light to alert cars to your presence. The iPhone’s flash light mode is perfect for this.
  • Make sure to trick or treat in an area with which you are familiar, and avoid strangers.
  • It’s a good idea to inspect the candy before you eat it, or give it to your child, and don’t consume anything that isn’t wrapped from the store, unless it’s from someone you know personally.
  • If you are attending holiday parties with adult treats, including alcohol, keep Uber or a taxi company on your phone to avoid taking the chance of getting a DWI.
  • If you run out of candy, or don’t want to give candy out, turn off the exterior lights until 10 p.m., or so, and this will communicate to trick or treaters that you don’t have anything for them.
