Former UNC-CH Basketball Player Charged with Rape

A former UNC-CH basketball player has been charged with second degree rape.

Melvin Scott, 32, who played from 2001-05, was arrested on Friday and held on a $500,000 bond.  A bond motion reduced the bond to $200,000 and he was released from jail.
