The most accurate way to get a background check is at the Guilford County Courthouse.
Certified criminal background checks and reports can be obtained in Room U-10, on the “UG” floor – one floor below the entrance.
The background check is for Guilford County records, not a full North Carolina background check. There is a $25 fee. An uncertified copy is only $2. They accept cash, money order, or a cashier’s check payable to the Guilford County Clerk of Superior Court. They do not accept personal checks or credit cards.
