Pain Pills and a Greensboro Personal Injury Lawyer

LOTS OF PAIN AND LOTS OF PILLS

If you’re in a situation with pain and need a Greensboro Personal Injury Lawyer, this post may be for you.  I don’t know what it is about some doctors being pill happy, but there’s a doctor in Greensboro, North Carolina, who seems to be just that. Dr. Daniel Baldi has been sued for medical malpractice a number of times for overprescribing pain medication. A fifth lawsuit against him was recently filed by the family of a 39-year-old who died of an overdose of oxycodone. Three other patients of Baldi died this year from overdoses.

The North Carolina Board of Medicine has stated that Baldi was negligent in taking precautions against drug abuse and has filed administrative charges against him. State prosecutors have also filed criminal charges against Baldi, claiming he overprescribed narcotic painkillers to patients. Baldi has agreed to stop practicing medicine until the investigation is complete.

Baldi ran a pain clinic that was operated by the North Carolina Health System. The clinic abruptly shut down in June, and at that time officials said Baldi had been suspended from practicing at the clinic.
