- Failure to Appear in Court or Pay a Fine in a motor vehicle case – N.C.G.S. 20-24.1.
- Accumulation of 12 points within 3 years. N.C.G.S. 20-16(a)(5) (points are listed in this statute).
- Speeding – in excess of 75 mph when speed limit is below 70mph. N.C.G.S. 20-16(a)(10).
- Speeding – Two convictions in a 12-month period of speeding in excess of 55mph (but less than 80mph). N.C.G.S. 20-16(a)(9).
- Fraudulent use of ID – by underage person to get alcohol. N.C.G.S. 20-17.3.
- Provisional Licensee (youth) drop-out – revocation if an individual drops out of school. N.C.G.S. 20-13.2.
- Provisional Licensee – Speeding more than 15mph over posted limit or more than 80 mph.
- Failure to show proof of financial responsibility (insurance) or post security after auto accident. N.C.G.S. 20-279.5.
- 1st Moving Violation/conviction while license revoked (includes DWLR convictions) –1 year revocation. N.C.G.S. 20-28.1.
- 2nd Moving Violation/conviction while license revoked – 2 years
- 3rd Moving Violation/conviction while license revoked – permanent revocation (can apply for DMV hearing after several years).
